APPEAL AFTER MANS BODY FOUND IN CANNOCK

Good afternoon,

Staffordshire Police are appealing for information after a man’s body was found outside an address in Cannock.

Officers were called to Longford Road at around 4:30am this morning (30 November). Paramedics attempted CPR, but the body was sadly confirmed deceased a short time later.

At this stage offcers are keeping an open mind about this incident, with the death remaining unexplained, however we are keen to establish the circumstances leading up to his death.

The next of kin of the man, who was in his 40s, have been informed and are now being supported by specially trained officers.    

There will be an increase in the number of local officers in the area today to provide reassurance and help gather evidence.

Anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or who has doorbell or dashcam footage of the area in the past eight hours are asked to contact 101 quoting incident number 110 of the 30th of November.
